Teen Counseling provides a professional platform for connecting with licensed therapists who specialize in assisting teenagers. Whether you require support at any time or in any location, you can easily communicate with your therapist through text messages, scheduled video calls, or phone conversations. The primary objective of your therapist is to help you thrive.

How to Begin:

  1. Invite your parent(s) to sign up and complete the consent form required by law.
  2. Once your parent subscribes, you will be matched with a licensed therapist and granted access to your confidential therapy room.
  3. Your therapist will engage with you on the Teen Counseling app using text messages, phone calls, and video sessions.

The Importance of Parental Consent:

In compliance with legal obligations, it is necessary for a parent or legal guardian to fill out a consent form before you can partake in online therapy services.

How Therapy Works:

You and your therapist will have your own secure and private "room." This designated space allows you to communicate at any time, day or night, from any internet-connected device. Rest assured that this room is exclusively for your use, as your parent(s) will not have access to it.

In this designated room, feel free to share personal information about yourself, discuss ongoing matters in your life, ask questions, and address any challenges you are currently facing. Your therapist will log in to the room as well, providing feedback, insights, and guidance.

To achieve positive change in your life and progress towards your goals while overcoming difficulties, both you and your therapist will collaborate.

Confidentiality of Shared Information:

You have the freedom to discuss any concerns with your therapist. However, there are certain circumstances in which your therapist may be required to disclose information to your parents or other adults, particularly if:

  • You express serious contemplation of severe self-harm or harm towards someone else.
  • You disclose any experiences of abuse or neglect that you're undergoing, or you become aware of someone below the age of 18 who is facing such issues.
  • You provide information about an elderly individual facing abuse or neglect.

Please consult with your therapist regarding the type of information and updates that your parent(s) may receive concerning your therapeutic journey.

Meet Our Therapists:

Teen Counseling hosts over 4,000 therapists, each possessing a minimum of three years and 2,000 hours of practical experience. Our therapists hold licenses and possess valuable training, expertise, and accreditation in fields such as psychology (PhD/PsyD), marriage and family therapy (MFT), clinical social work (LCSW), licensed professional counseling (LPC), and similar credentials.

All of our therapists possess a Master's or Doctorate Degree in their specialized area. They have met the qualifications and certifications stipulated by their respective state professional boards, which include completing the necessary education, examinations, training, and practice.
